1. How you guys doin? You have a show coming up with Guard Your Steps at Rocketown, you looking forward to it?

We are doing great man. 3/5ths of are in college and our lives are consumed by class and work. This show at Rocketown is going to rule. Almost every good Nashville band is playing this show. And we love Guard Your Steps.

2. How has the reaction to the "Burger King" album been?

The reaction has been incredible. We got a lot of great feedback.

3. What was the inspiration behind the album? Why Burger King and not Mcdonalds or Wendys?

Burger King was the name we picked out. It is not a cliche title that would be like everything else. The whole idea behind "Burger King" is to stop taking yourself so serious and look around you. We are going to have to find our own way to succeed as a generation that is being thrown to the curb. The future is up to us to advance and we must start by taking care of one another.

4. How did the band come about and form? Is there any meaning behind the name "Alert The Sky"?

The band came around during the fall of 2005. Josh and Pete got together and started writing some songs. The name Alert The Sky has no meaning. It was just a name. I have only been in the band for about a year.

5. What are some of your influences?

Our influences are very wide as individuals. We could not fit them all in this interview. As a band we shoot to be heavy but with a traditional hardcore influence.

6. What is the local music scene like in Tennessee?

The music scene is very diverse. Two of our goods friends, A Plea For Purging and The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza are from Murfreesboro. There are a lot of good things going on in Nashville.

7. What are your thoughts on illegal music downloading?

We are not pumped on the idea but if a kid comes to a show and sings along then it is worth it.

8. What is your favorite song to play live and why?

We love playing Rick James and The Giant Peach live. It has a lot of cool parts and a huge sing along at the end. It is a lot of fun.

9. What are you currently listening to?

I am currently jamming The Dear Hunter Acts I and II. Also the new Verse cd is very good.

10. What's next for Alert The Sky?

We are going to be hanging out at home for a while and try to write some new songs. We have a mini tour this Oct and then hopefully a bigger tour this winter.

11. Any shoutouts?

All of our fans around the world and to NASHVILLE! You guys rule!! And a big shout out to our MOMS!! We love them. DONT VOTE!
