1. What are your names and roles in the band?

Band-
Will Sowers-bass, ER White-guitar, Jonas Ladaker-guitar, Jonny Craig-Vocals, Lukas Keszuski-Drums, and Jordan Stewart-Keys

2. Does the name "Emarosa" have any meaning behind it?

Band-
The name Emarosa stands for the music we make and the group we are. When choosing the name Emarosa we were looking for something that better represented the music we had been creating and the growth we felt we had accomplished as people and musicians, and Emarosa just fit perfectly.

3. Johnny from Dance Gavin Dance joined the band not too long ago, hows it been so far?

Band-
Jonny has been more than we could have ever asked for. He brings to the table a uniqueness and talent level that we could have never reached before and his dedication level is at even with the rest of us. We have strived for a unique, energetic, melodic sound for a long time now, and i believe we are all finally happy at what we are playing and creating.

4. How did you hook up with Rise Records?

Band-
Rise had always been something we had connections with, being our first ever tour in July 06 being with The Devil Wears Prada, but it had never really been something we thought we would want. After writing "This Is Your Way Out" and posting a short preview clip online, Craig from Rise contacted us that week i believe, and we had a contract just a few days later.

5. Can we expect a full length anytime soon?

Band-
YES. We are currently at home in Lexington, KY finishing up writing the full length. Its about half way done and i dont think we could be any happier with what its turning out to be. I think we all agree its alot more mature in many ways, and its something we are finally proud to show everyone.

6. Any good show stories?

Band-
I think every show has its stories, but the most recent would have to be on our way to MN from WI where our van broke down shortly after hitting a tire and dead dear in the road. Waiting for two hours in negative god knows what weather, then taking a taxi and towtruck to a repair shop where we found the van was dead, calling some friends, and cramming 7 people and all the equipment we could into a very small suv to travel the rest of the way to the show that night in minneapolis, talk about showing up in style :b haha.

7. What's your favorite song to play live and why?

Band-
I think we all love playing new songs live the best, mainly because we are so proud of the new music we are creating for the full length and we love to show progress and growth as musicians, but nothing beats hearing kids sing along to a song that they already know :)

8. If you could tour with any three acts, who would they be?

Band-
Goodness, there are way too many to name. And too many different musical diversities in this band to make this answer correct, but if i could guess it would be The Cure, Cursive, or Thursday.

9. What are you currently listening to?

Band-
As i said, we are quite the diverse group of guys, but here's a few that get played in the van quite often right now; The Cure, Craig David, As Cities Burn, PMToday, Fear Before The March Of Flames, Cursive and Paramore.

10. What's next for Emarosa?

Band-
Well we are working hard each and everyday finishing up the writing for the full length. We will be playing spot dates here and there up until March when we record the record through April with Kris Krummett. Then we wont be leaving the road with supporting tours for the next year at least. Then who knows :)

11. Any shoutouts?

Band-
We'd love thank each and every one of our parents, who we would be nowhere without them. Each and every band we've ever toured and or played with over the past year specifically Sky Eats Airplane, A Skylit Drive, AKissForJersey, The Devil Wears Prada, Sleep City Sleep, and anyone and everyone that has ever shown or given us any sort of support througout this journey so far, whether it be leaving some encouraging words online, or giving up your floors and homes at night for us to sleep :) And of course to each and everyone of our fans, whom make all the long drives and double cheese burgers worth while :)

1. What are your names and roles in the band?

Band-
Russ - Bass and lead vocals.
Justin - Guitar and vocals.
Mitch - Lead guitar
Nathan - Drums

2. How did you come up with the name Waterview?

Band-
Our town is right on the water, and its a nod to that. Also the mentality you find in a small town, no-one likes you to make it big, and assume you never will because you're from a no-where place. To be honest it just sounded cool, we came up with all that bullshit afterwards.

3. Your sound has a punky sound to it, who are your influences?

Band-
We always listened to that early 90's punk, No Fun At All, Millencolin, AFI, Lagwagon etc. So I think subconsciously that comes through in our writing, even though our music tastes have changed somewhat since then.

4. Have you ever thought about touring over here in the states?

Band-
Heaps of times, so many more venues and our sound seems to reach alot of US kids and they love it. But there's alot more involved than just jumping on a plane. Maybe one day soon.

5. How is the new EP coming along?

Band-
Demo's are being written as I type this interview, it's sounding good. Hopefully will leave the first one for dead.

6. Any good show stories?

Band-
Our guitarist punching a wall, or a tree, and breaking his hand, then having to play a show with a hand the size of a dinner plate. That was entertaining. We have heaps of amazing stories, but I won't bore you with them :)

7. What's your favorite song to play live and why?

Band-
I (Russ) like playing Ghost Stories, a new one. So much energy.

8. If you could tour with any three acts, who would they be?

Band-
Hmmm, keeping all the band in mind, I'd say we'd have to tour with Iron Maiden, Killswitch Engage and The PussyCat dolls. Imagine that.

9. What are you currently listening to?

Band-
The new A Wilhem Scream. It's amazing.

10. What's next for Waterview?

Band-
Having a break over summer to write a new EP, and then hopefully tour with that in 2008. Win an AFI. Score a motion picture deal. Get on the MTV awards. Y'know, small stuff like that.

11. Any shoutouts?

Band-
All the bands on our myspace! Their amazing, go check 'em out. And you can download our EP for free at www.myspace.com/waterview. So get to it.
Thanks everyone.

Genre: Alternative rock akin to Breaking Benjamin or Hinder.
Interviewed on: 12/20/07
From: Huntington, WV
www.myspace.com/themeridium

www.myspace.com/themeridium

1. What are your names and roles in the band?

Band-
I (Cresson) am the vocals and an occasional guitar, and I mean occasional. Chris is the lead guitar, and Jon plays the bass. We are currently auditioning drummers, for our drummer of 2 years up and left. We had different visions for the band.

2. Does the name "Meridium" have any meaning behind it?

Band-

We tossed around a few names for awhile, and we finally came to Meridium. Meridium is being in the musical state of synergy. We feel we reach that moment every time we perform.

3. You named your CD "Time At Hand", why was that?

Band-
We recorded a few tracks a year ago, then began the rest of the cd in April of '07. Half way through the recording sessions our drummer quit. So we finished the cd acoustically. In which I think worked out very well. So we felt that the cd showed where we were at the time. We never wanted to start with a half acoustic cd, but it was the "Time at Hand". Its where we were at that time....

4. What can we expect from a Meridium performance?

Band-
A definite good time, high energy, and always good music. We love to interact with the crowd, play a few classics, and we are always trying new things to make each and every show unique and special. When we hit the stage anything can happen.

5. Can we expect any new material soon?

Band-
You will be able to download our cd from iTunes and Rhapsody in the next month, but as for new we are currently working on our second cd. Its fun to be back to writing and experimenting with different sounds. We have definitely grown and learned a few tricks here and there. We plan to be out promoting the cd around March '08. We are also trying to find the label that best suits us and will continue to search until we are comfortable with a label......But look for the new cd in March.

6. Any good show stories?

Band-
Each night has a great story, our fans are pretty wild, so anything can happen. One of my favs though was the night when we had a 70 year old drunk guy, and I kid you not he was at the minimum 70, he somehow got into the middle of crowd surfing. He went from North to South, East to West like a rag doll, you couldnt tell if he was dead or alive. He finally made it the stage all wrinkled and drunk. I looked down at him and he was smiling toothless from ear to ear...and said f___ yeah!!...a vision I will soon not forget.....

7. What's your favorite song to play live and why?

Band-

We enjoy any opportunity we get to perform, its the best rush in the world, so its truly hard to pick one. But to answer the question, we each have different ones. I personally like "Save Me" because it takes me back to the time that I wrote it, and how I overcame the state I was in at the time. Chris likes "Shame" because it has so many changes and solos, just a diverse song from the guitar. It is one of our better live songs so I see his point. Jon is a fan of "Empty" because he gets to show off his skills at the bass, he came up with a pretty sick bass line on that one.

8. If you could tour with any three acts, who would they be?

Band-
Alice in Chains with Layne Staley....Period.

9. What are you currently listening to?

Band-
Dirt-- Alice in Chains

10. What's next for Meridium?

Band-
We are ready to get back to performing after taking a little time off. We are looking forward to reaching more fans on iTunes and Rhapsody. We are excited about what we have so far on the second cd, and we can not wait to start promoting it in March. I think we are heading in the right direction, we are definitely having a great time, so we will keep rocking until the end.......

11. Any shoutouts?

Band-
We just want to thank you for what you guys do, and a shoutout to all the fans who support us!! Dont forget to check us out on myspace.com/themeridium
Thank you!!

From: Lima,US

www.myspace.com/everybridgeburned

1. What are your names and roles in the band?

Band-
I'm Jess and I play keyboards.

2. How did you come up with the name Farewell To Words?

Band-
Well we are from a small town and at the time we didn't really know too many people who were willing to help us out. So in a way it was like the bridges weren't there. Ya know? We were young so it was fitting at the time.

3. You just started a tour with Catherine and Oh Sleeper, hows it going so
far?

Band-
My Children My Bride is on it as well. We're about 2 weeks in to it and its been great. We're stoaked to be here, the shows and hangin out with the dudes has been a lot of fun.

4. How does the writing process come about?

Band-
Normally Otis or Tate will write something then bring it in to practice and we all change it around and add stuff.

5. How did you hook up with Rise Records?

Band-
I don't really know heh. I think its because we recorded at the foundation and Craig (rise) was kinda keepin an eye on his work. One day we just got an email from him and we went from there.

6. Any good show stories?

Band-
Just a few days ago we were in Salt Lake City, Otis and I were behind the merch table which we have a sign that says cds are "discount price" and right underneath we have ebb shirts and the cd sitting right there with our name huge on it.
So this girl comes up to Otis and is like I want a discount cd. Otis hands it to her and takes her money, then she's just standing there for a second then looks up at Otis with a really disgusted face and goes "every bridge burned? Who is this?" then otis freezes bc he's so suprised and confused ..then she gets even more pissed and in a louder voice goes " what cd is this! I don't want this crap." Turns out she wanted a Catherine cd and they were right next to us.
I think its hilarious. I just don't know how she missed all of our merch that the sign was sitting on. Haha

7. What's your favorite song to play live and why?

Band-
Probably You're a damn lion and In the heat of the night. Just because they are our oldest songs so more kids know those 2 the most.

8. If you could tour with any three acts, who would they be?

Band-
Hit The Lights, Catherine. The Bled would be sweet too.

9. What are you currently listening to?

Band-
Right this second Straylight Run. Lately its been Poison The Well, Just Surrender, Mayday Parade, you know the basic shred/black metal stuff

10. What's next for Every Bridge Burned?

Band-
Right now its just tour tour tour and maybe write who knows. We are just goin where ever the wind takes us.

www.myspace.com/ftowords

1. What are your names and roles in the band?

Band-
Farewell to Words are:
Katha & Mo – vox
Basti & Claus - guitars
Martin - bass guitar
Leroy - drums

2. How did you come up with the name Farewell To Words?

Band-
Finding a name we all were comfortable with was quite difficult. Our former guitarist suggested “Farewell to Words” and we all felt very happy with it.

3. You have both female and male lead vocals, how did that come about?

Band-
By coincidence! Really! Our first female singer came to one of our practices just to improvise a bit – and because it turned out so great, we decided to include her into our lineup!

4. Being from Germany, are there any Germany-based bands we should check out?

Band-
A lot : Days In Grief, Empty Trash, Maintain, Monrose, The Ocean, War From A Harlots Mouth and many more…

5. How did you hook up with Bastardized Recordings?

Band-
The heard our first songs on MySpace and contacted us. Our management then got into negotiations and managed the deal. Happened quite fast and easy, in fact!

6. Any good show stories?

Band-
Which band doesn’t have such stories? A nice one is the episode, where Mo wanted to “drink” the mic, because he mistook it for the bottle of water he held in his other hand. At a show in Poland, Claus disappeared in a hole in the stage.

7. What's your favorite song to play live and why?

Band-
I’m not sure if there is a favorite song… And if there is, it probably differs for everyone in the band. Usually the newest song is the one we like to play most, because we’re so eager to test the audiences response!

8. If you could tour with any three acts, who would they be?

Band-
Busta Rhymes, Michael Jackson and Placido Domingo.

9. What are you currently listening to?

Band-
That’s pretty much impossible to answer. Everyone in our band has a very different taste concerning music. For me it’s the current Machine Head and the Fair To Midland album.

10. What's next for Farewell To Words?

Band-
The next big thing for us would be to record an album next year. If all turns out well, the album should hit the stores in 2008. We already have several songs we’re really eager to record and get out there.

11. Any shoutouts?

Band-
Greetz to all the long-haired/short-haired/pierced/unpierced/straight-edge/meat-eating/gay/lesbian/straight/pretty/ugly/young/old/whatever fans out there, that like our music!

Band-
EMMURE consists of Me ( Frankie ) , Joe , Ben , Jesse and Mark.

Band-
We were looking for a name that wasnt like all the rest we were hearing at the time..
a few years ago..every band was trying to have a name that was long and dragged out..we didnt wanna call ourselves something like.. " DEATH LOVING OF DYING YESTERDAY" ..so we figured a name that would be unique would be EMMURE..
The meaning is from a french term used to describe i type of torture.where one would be put in a cage and than bricked into a wall a live.

3. How did you hook up with Victory Records?

Band-
We were drunk at a party...and Victory Records took advantage of us...im pretty sure theres pictures floating around somewhere.

4. It was three years since since your EP and your full length on Victory, why is that?

Band-
Well I dont think it was 3 years..maybe about..almost 2 ..but basicly we got shut down by every other label ...we never even considerd victory records an option..but..yeah..we ate shit for a long time and did everything on our own..touring ..E.P..release..all that shit. It takes time until someone sees how hard youve worked. Were pretty happy with the way things came together.

5. How is the new CD "The Respect Issue" coming along?

Band-
Great so far...im super excited to put it out.

6. Any good show stories?

Band-

-Interview- And Then There Were None 12/5/07

And Then There Were None
(Unsigned)

Genre: Metalcore comparable to As I Lay Dying.
Interviewed on: 12/5/07
From: Salem, New Hampshire
www.myspace.com/andthentherewerenone

www.myspace.com/andthentherewerenone

1. What are your names and roles in the band?

Band-
Sean plays guitar, Ryan plays drums, Matt M. plays synthesizer and strings and I sing. We program a lot of our music with a computer now (including bass), so we named our bass player Mac.

2. How did the band come about?

Band-
Sean and I have always been in bands, but we started ATTWN in 2004 as our first, very serious project.

3. Being from New Hampshire, how is the scene there compared to other places?

Band-
New Hampshire is a great scene, its also very competitive. There are a lot of bands working hard and I think that it’s a good thing. We are also lucky to have NH Booking, who has changed music in this area drastically. We love a bunch of other areas, and have actually become pretty good friends with some promoters and kids on a personal level.

4. The song "With The Stars" is very catchy and seems very personal, how did the song come about?

Band-
Thanks, that song was written a few days before we went to PA to record our last EP. My father had recently passed away and I wanted to write a song that would pay tribute to his life as a greatly respected teacher. I would say that is one of the most sincere songs ATTWN has ever written.

5. How is the new album coming along?

Band-
Things are going really well. For the first time, I feel like we have found our own sound. As a band, we have been spending hours recording and writing, and finally taken a break from touring and playing shows. We are all anxious to start playing our new material live though…

6. Any good show stories?

Band-
Last year, at a Halloween show, the promoter really wanted the bands to dress up. We stink at being funny so we asked Sean to get us all costumes with what little money we had. He bought a bunch of discount moustaches and when we put them on (as we were on stage) Ryan pointed out that they were “Hitler” moustaches so we freaked and ripped them off…. That was pretty awkward I guess haha

7. What's your favorite song to play live and why?

Band-
I really don’t have a favorite, I like anytime people are singing and having a good time. Nothing makes me feel better than seeing people smiling and honestly enjoying our set.

8. If you could tour with any three acts, who would they be?

Band-
Falling Cycle, Journey and Basshunter. Metal, rock and dance.

9. What are you currently listening to?

Band-
Lately, I have been listening to a lot of Bayside and Anberlin, but I think Basshunter is open on my ipod right now…

10. What's next for And Then There Were None?

Band-
Once we finish writing a solid amount of material, we plan on going back to touring and playing a lot of shows again. We are really stoked about our new material and our new live setup and we are going to tour it hard.

11. Any shoutouts?

Band-
My shoutout goes to you Mike, thanks a lot for the interview.
