2.
You just played a show on New Years Eve at the Masquerade in ATL, how did that go?

Champ-

It was fun, we played with our new label mates, City Sleeps, which was cool. Drank a lot and smoked a lot,you know how we do it!

3.
Trustkill is a very well known label, how has it been bein on there?

Champ-

Things are going well, they are looking forward to putting out our next record, as we are.

4.
When can we expect a new record? How's it coming along?

Champ-

Expect a great rock record. Straight up rock, no bullshit. We're about done writing it and are going in the studio soon. It should be out be Spring.

5.
What's rockin in your Ipods/Cd players?

Champ-
I've been rocking Fantomas - Suspended Animation, and
The Derek And The Dominoes record. And Sticky Fingers by the Rolling Stones .

6.
You guys were on the Viva La Bam tour, how did that go?

Champ-

That was the best tour ever. I ran out naked during Dunn and Vitos set at one show. I'm sure there's pictures somewhere. And Dunn and I have matching tattoos!

7.

I Would Set Myself On Fire For You
(Stik Figure Records)

www.myspace.com/iwouldetc

1. What are your names and roles in the band.

Band-

Stephen Matthew Newhouse - Guitar, Vocals, Sexappeal
Paul Myron Hobson - Drums, Drum Machines, Science
Lindsey Leigh Harbour - Viola, Vocals, Sass
Justin Karl Lane - Bass, Vocals, Beards
Tyler Dale Walters - Keyboards, Synth, Vocals, Ill timed jokes

2.
Your new album "Believing In Patterns" is a different direction than your previous album, how would you explain that?

Band-

I would'nt say that "Believes In Patterns" is a different direction as much as it is a logical progression. The first record was done years ago and it was a representation of everyone's lives and feelings at the time. The new record is just who we are today. Its like anything else; it changes as you change. There was a lot of time between the records and a lot happened in that time.

3.
How did you hook up with Stikfigure Records?

Band-

Gavin who runs Stickfigure is an Atlanta legend. He has been an important part of the Atlanta "scene" for years. He put out the first record because he liked what he heard and when it came time to do the next one - he was without a doubt the only person we would let do it.

4.
Any plans to hit the road?

Band-

Not right now but who knows what the future holds. Its hard getting five people together to do anything. We all have busy schedules these days and that makes it hard to travel. Paul is in grad school and everyone else has full time jobs.

5.
What's rockin in your Ipods/Cd players?

Band-

Milt Jackson, Johanna Newsom, Sonic Youth, Pg. 99, and TOWERS. This summer we only had an AM/FM radio in our van and listened to every classic rock station from Atlanta to Los Angeles.

6.
You've toured all over the US, any good stories from the road?

Band-

Hmm...so much happened while we were out on the road. When we were traveling from Berkely, CA to Las Vegas our van broke down in the middle of the desert. It was 120 degrees which sucked a lot. Our friends TOWERS (who we toured the west coast with) pulled up and took Justin, Paul and Stephen with them while Lindsey and Tyler stayed in the desert waiting for the tow truck. Long story short - we had to spend all of our money getting towed out of the desert. He got the tow truck driver to drop the van off at the venue and made it just in time to play. He hadnt unloaded the van from the truck and we were already loading our gear inside to set up. It was a great show and then Tyler won $400 in a casino.

7.
You guys play a lot of house shows I've noticed, is that something that your guys cherish on the road? Or would you rather play somewhere bigger?

Band-

House shows are the best shows. Playing in someone's house creates an energy and a closeness that no venue will ever be able to achieve. Playing on the floor with the crowd close to you creates an environment that is unmatched. Venues put too much emphasis on the band - the stage, the lights, the soundsystem serves to seperate the band from the fans. We arent into that - we love being face to face with people - sweating togeher, dancing together and being able to connect with them. We would choose someones basement, kitchen, bedroom or attic over a "real" venue any day.

8.
Your album art is very unique, who designed it?

Band-

Stephen did it - he is an amazingly talented artist. He designs most everything.

9. What does the future hold for the band?

Band-

Who knows? We certainly dont. Hopefully good things.

10. Any shoutouts?

Band-
Shout outs to all the great people in this world who have said nice things to us, came out to shows, sang along, fed us, clothed us, let us sleep on thier floor and cared about us in any way shape or form. It means more than anyone will ever know.

1. What are your names and roles in the band.

John-
Rob Kellom - Vocals
Jay Vilardi - Guitar
John Radford - Guitar
John Raudebaugh(me) - Bass
Danny Strong - Drums

2.
You've recently played a show with A Day To Remember (Victory) and Phoenix Mourning (Century Media) how did that go? Phoenix Mourning seems like friends of yours, did you know them since the Calm. days?

John-
We've played with Phoenix Mourning several times. Jay was actually in Calm before he joined H2H and if you look at the songwriting credits for Phoenix Mourning's CD, you'll see that he had a lot to do with the album.

3.
What's your favorite song to play live?

John-

It depends on the crowd. Usually Preamble or The Arson just because those are good "sing-alongs” and there's nothing we love more than our crowd singing along with us.

4.
Are you guys working on a new album? If so, when can we expect it?

John-
Yes! We're extremely excited about the new music we've been writing. If we could release it all tomorrow we would. We're trying to be patient, however, and make sure we put out the best album we possibly can. Each song we write gets better and better and with each song we’re finding something new and learning something about ourselves as well.
We can't promise anything, but we're hoping to have new tracks .. sometime within the next couple months and then hopefully finish the album soon after that.

5.
What's rockin in your Ipods/Cd players?

John-
Recently it's been the new albums from Saosin, Alexisonfire, Deftones, Crime In Stereo, He Is Legend and The Format. And we're always jammin on everything from Minus The Bear to Journey to Dragonforce.

6.
Where's your favorite place to play? Why?

John-
Nothing can top Germany. We think of it as our second home because our friends and fans there treat us so good. We miss everyone there and can’t wait to get back. Of course we love playing our hometown, Orlando, too. It’s always a party!

7.
Who’s the jokester in the band? Any good road stories?

John-
Rob is always crackin jokes. Good road stories? Man, we have way too many. Having fun and being crazy is what we do on the road.

8.
Your merch designs are very cool, who designed them?

John-
The merch we have .. right now was designed by our friends at Studio AKT. But we actually have three designers in the band including myself, John Radford and Rob. We plan on doing ALL of H2H's future artwork ourselves.

9. What does the future hold for Hand To Hand?

John-

The new album is all we have on our minds right now. We’ve made so many friends and have learned a lot from our experiences thus far and we just want to keep growing and keep making new friends along the way.
Mostly what we want from this next album is for it to really convey a message because as a band we have a lot to say. We want to do a lot of positive things with the band and not just musically either.

10. Any shoutouts?

John-
Shoutout to our homeboys in The Burning Season. Everyone check out their new release coming out in March. Also word to all our friends and fans all over the world, thanks for being patient with us, the new music is on its way!

-Review- A Day To Remember - For Those Who Have Heart

A Day To Remember
www.myspace.com/adaytoremember
Label: Victory Records
From: Ocala, FL
For Those Who Have Heart
Release Date: 1/23/07

Track Listing:

1. Fast Forward To 2012
2. Speak Of The Devil
3. The Danger In Starting A Fire
4. The Plot To Bomb The Panhandle
5. Monument
6. The Price We Pay
7. Colder Than My Heart, If You Can Imagine
8. Show Em The Ropes
9. A Shot In The Dark
10. Here's To The Past
11. I Heard It's The Softest Thing Ever
12. Start The Shooting

For those of you who don't know, Victory has pretty much gone through a makeover the past couple years. Good or bad, they're still a great label with up and coming bands. A Day To Remember is a very unique band in the sense that you cant really pigeonhole them in a genre. As the promo for the CD suggests "If you like pop but you like to mosh". That's about right. A Day To Remember has always been called pop-core (if there would be such a thing). Their last album "And Their Name Was Treason" was a cult classic on Indianola Records.

Anyways, on to the new CD. The first track "Fast Forward To 2012" is a great intro for what's to come. It's short, simple and to the point. The second track "Speak Of The Devil" is an upbeat song that has a very catchy chorus. "I'm on the edge of the rootop, thinking nobody will ever know, I know you want to be the one to see the distance from the road". The songs "The Danger In Starting A Fire", "The Plot To Blow Up The Panhandle", and "A Shot In The Dark" are all listenable on ADTR's Myspace and E-Card. They have a little break in the CD with the song "The Price We Play", an acoustic song. Once the song gets done, the breakdowns kick back in. The song "I Heard It's The Softest Thing Ever" has an opening riff very reminscent of the Deftones. That is until the verse kicks in and its all double bass and fast guitars. Sing alongs, breakdowns, catchy choruses, lyrics about relationships and life, they're all here in abundance and that's not a bad thing.

Verdict -
If you want catchy songs that will stick in your head for days and you like your music hard, definatly pick this up. While you're out, pick up their debut CD on Indianola. A Day To Remember is a great up and coming band that has a very bright future.

Sounds like:
Old Atreyu, Funeral For A Friend

Standout Tracks-
"Speak Of The Devil"
"Monument"
"Show Em The Ropes"
"Here's To The Past"

Band-
Josh came up with it. Winter is all of our favorite time of year. So it kinda just worked after Josh said it.

3. The band is located in Orlando,a hotbed for bands.
How hard was it to come up through the ranks in such a state that has generated such great bands over the years?

Band-
We all have been in bands before (except Cam and John) so we had some previous contacts in the state that came in very handy when we were just starting out.

4. You're song "Chasing Lights" is a hit in the making, what was your inspiration for the song?

Band-
Its a break-up song! All of us have been through that nasty break-up that you just cant stop thinking about.

5. You just recently released a video for "Standing Here". who thought of the concept for it? Why did you choose to shoot a video for that song?

A Day To Remember

1. What are your names and roles in the band.

Josh Woodard-
Josh Woodard - bass
Tom Denney - Guitar
Neil Westfall - Guitar
Jeremy Mckinnon - vocals
Bobby Scruggs - Drums

2. How did the band form?

Josh Woodard-
The band formed by a mixing of a few bands we had been in previously. We were all mutual friends and decided to start playing music together.

3. What is your favorite CD of the moment?

Josh Woodard-
I myself have been listening a lot to JOB FOR A COWBOY's "Doom".

4. How is the new CD coming along? Will it sound any different from the old one? Is it titled yet?

Josh Woodard-
We hope to keep the same base sound that we had in the first record, but of course what is the point of being in a band if you don't evolve. We plan on making this new record a lot catchier and at the same time a lot heavier. I know that doesn't make sense but you all will just have to see, and no there is no album name as of yet.

5. What's your favorite place to play and why?

Josh Woodard-
Ocala our hometown is amazing to us show wise. The kids have just grown to like us a lot and have been so supportive. But other than Ocala, I would have to say West Palm Beach, FL. Our fan base in that area has just grown and grown. The kids are awesome and always have a good time at our shows.

6. How did you hook up with Indianola?

Josh Woodard-
I had talked to a few people who were in Indianola bands, and told them to shope our stuff to them. Then I personally began to talk to the owners and one day I got the call.

7. What inspired you to write the song "You Had Me At Hello"?

Josh Woodard-
A girl. Haha.

8. What's the craziest show you guys played? What happened?

Josh Woodard-
Our last Ocala show was absolutley insane. We had like 400+ kids in this gym. Everyone was going nuts and singing along. It gave me goosebumps to see how supportive those kids are.

9. What does the future hold for A Day To Remember? Any touring plans on the horizon?

Josh Woodard-
Tons of touring. We want to be out as much as possible promoting the first record to get a huge buzz for the second.

10. Any shoutouts?

Josh Woodard-
The dudes at Indianola, Ocala, Seventh Star, and anyone who has listened to us. (liking it or not).

-Interview- Adair 12/26/05

Adair
(Warcon Records)
Interviewed on: 12/26/05
http://www.myspace.com/adair

1. What are your names and roles in the
band.

Jeffrey Meyer-
Jeffrey Meyer (me) - Bass, cheerleader
Rob Tweedie - vocals, quarterback
Matt Tuttle - Drums, linebacker
Patrick Baum - guitar, vocals, coach
Josh Goldenhersh - guitars, vocals, keys, tight end

2. You're from St. Louis, what's the scene like there?

Jeffrey Meyer-
Its been better. It goes up and down. There's nothing like a hometown show, but there aren't a ton of places to play. There is a pretty large handful of great bands here and it seems like more and more of them are getting out on the road. That will be one of the greatest rewards for us if we ever reach a national headlining status, is to drag our friends bands out with us. Surf around our top 8 if you are wondering what kind of great bands reside in the Loo.

3. You're scheduled to play this years Taste Of Chaos tour, how does it feel to be a part of the same tour as such heavyweights as Deftones,Funeral For A Friend,Atreyu,As I
Lay Dying,etc?

Jeffrey Meyer-
To be quite honest, its VERY humbling. Every band on TOC is a great band. We never saw ourselves as a band that would be playing in the same venue, let alone arenas, with bands like the Deftones, Thrice or Dredg, etc... All we can say is that we are excited and nervous. We've always done really well under pressure, so I'm not to worried.

4. How does the writing process occur?

Jeffrey Meyer-
Ha! Oh man. Well typically we jam on something and just work off that. Usually start with a foundation and work from that. With this album, a few of the songs were written based off original material by Patrick. We were put in an absolutely crippling situation about 2 weeks before we went in to record. Our original drummer decided to quit for reasons we are still unsure of. He literally just stopped talking to us. Then, our guitarist at the time that we had recruited from California, made the mistake of leaving an IM conversation open of him and one of his buddies in Cali talking about how he was gonna quit and just collect a paycheck from us after he recorded the record with us. Needless to say, we sent his ass packing. So with no drummer, no guitarist, and about 2 weeks before we hit the studio to record our Warcon debut, we still decided to press on. I contacted a friend of mine, Matt Tuttle, whom I met when I was playing with Open Hand. He was the drummer for a band called Codeseven, that recently seperated. We sent him the material and he came right in and played it perfect. He is one of the most talented drummers I have ever played with, and I've been fortunate enough to play with some amazing drummers. Then we decided to ask my best friend of about 9 years, Patrick Baum, to fill the position of guitar for us. We were all big fans of his solo work (Open Sky Reminder) and his other bands he played in locally (The Skyline, Hell in the Cannon). Aside from that, we knew he was down for the long run and he wouldn't be one to dick us over. We wrote 4 new songs and reworked 3 in the span of a week and a half. Then recorded "The Destruction of Everything is the Beginning of Something New". So that brings us to now. Matt was originally brought in to just help us record the record, and has now agreed to stay on with us. So with the most solid line-up to date we are ready to rock.

5. You just recently got signed with Warcon Records (Bleed The Dream, Opiate For The Masses), how did you hook up with them?

Jeffrey Meyer-
Our manager threw Kevin Lyman our demo. Lyman seemed interested so he had us play a couple Warped tour dates in the Midwest. Apparently, he watched us play 2 songs and then called John (mgr.) and said he wanted to sign us. We are lucky to be a part of such a great label.

6. What's in your CD player right now?

Jeffrey Meyer-
The new Thrice, new Death Cab, Jimmy Eat World, Keane, Sigor Ros, and Willie Nelson.

7. You've played shows with Stretch Armstrong, Stutterfly and many others. What has your favorite show been to play and why?

Jeffrey Meyer-
The last show we played at Mississippi nights here at home was the best show I've ever played. The set ended with about 30 kids on the stage singing along. That to me makes a show. When the audience has as much passion for the music as we do. Outside of that, every band we've toured with has been a pleasure to share a stage with.

8. You've supported PETA in the past. Is that something each member believes in?

Jeffrey Meyer-
Well, obviously we are all in favor of the ethical treatment of anything, but Rob is the only Vegan. Pat, Josh and I have recently become vegetarian.

9. What does the future hold for Adair?

Jeffrey Meyer-
We can only wait and see... hopefully world domination is in the stars.

10. Any shoutouts?

Jeffrey Meyer-
My cousin Taneesha.
