1. What are your names and roles in the band?

Band-
Hi, my name is Daniel and I am the singer in Crash My DeVille.

2. How has the response to the new album been? Is it safe to say that
it's a little different than the previous one?

Band-
Yes, it is. The last album was not an album in the way that the actual one is. “The Consequence Of Setting Yourself On Fire” is kind of an discography, with songs from the very beginning of our band. The actual album is the first “real” album for us.

3. The cover art for the CD is interesting, how did that come about?

Band-
We just wanted to come up with an artwork that just does not fit the music the album contains. We did not want any skulls in it, no bleeding hearts, no whatever. It fits the album title and the concept of the album very well I think.

4. Where's your favorite place to play? Whys that?

Band-
Tough one. I don´t really have a favorite place to play. We like to play everywhere, as long as there are nice people who are interested in what we do or open minded enough to get into our music.

5. The name of the band is very unique, does it mean something in particular?

Band-
I would really like to come up with an interesting story about it, but to be honest: It means nothing at all! ;0)

6. Any good show stories?

Band-
Haha, besides from the injuries, cut eyebrows, venues that burned down a day before we got to play there, running out of gas at night in foreign countries....nothing special I guess.

7. How did you guys hook up with Redfield Records?

Band-
Kai, the head of Redfield, used to play in a band and we supported them back in 2003. He seemed to like us that day, so we got in talks for about 2 years, figuring things out and getting to know each other. It kinda developed over the years.

8. How does the song writing process come about?

Band-
Our writing is mostly done by our guitarist Markus, who is writing most of the music. I am writing all the lyrics. With this album, we came up with the idea of writing an concept-album, so our work was pretty focused.

9. What are you currently listening to?

Band-
Right now, I am listening to the new Radiohead record, the awesome new Parkway Drive album and some old ones like Unbroken and In My Eyes.

10. What's next for Crash My Deville?

Band-
We just released the new album, so playing the new stuff live is most important to us right now.

11. Any shoutouts?

Band-
Thanks for checking us out and showing interest in our work and what we do, it means a lot to us! THANK YOU!
